Regional HR Manager (HR Advisory role for a Global Outsourcing & Consulting Firm)

Our client is an international business consulting firm which provide advisory and administrative services for global enterprises on areas such as bookkeeping, payroll, human resources, tax and compliance. They serve as a single point of accountability to help enterprises simplify international expansion procedures. With the business growth in Asia Pacific, they are now looking for a high calibre to join their HR Advisory Team to serve their clients across the APAC region.

 

Responsibilities:


• Play an advisor role to clients across a range of industries on various international HR matters, e.g. employment law, compensation and benefits best practice, stock options and share based compensation, company formation requirements, international tax (corporate, expatriate, personal and indirect taxes), etc.
• Work closely with other internal service team members (client account managers, financial accounting and payroll outsourcing team, recurring services team, etc.) to provide day-to-day support and project management for specific projects and multiple client engagements. This may include researching and preparing comprehensive and practical written advice for clients; facilitating conference calls with clients; obtaining information and resources from internal or external parties in an economic way, etc.
• Closely communicate, meet and develop relationships with local service providers and intermediaries; review the technical advice provided, interpret the findings and edit as appropriate to ensure the advice meets the company’s standard
• Maintain active and professional communication with clients, and provide status reports and feedback for senior advisors and other internal team members, so as to manage expectations and help ensure client satisfaction
• Provide practical and proactive solutions to other international business matters for clients, and work with local subject matter experts to research, manage and deliver such consulting projects on a timely basis
• Assist with business development or sales-related activities to expand the HR consulting services among existing or prospective clients in APAC

 

Requirements:


• Degree holder in Human Resources or other business related discipline
• At least 6-7 years of experience in HR generalist role with professional firms and/or large multinational companies where experience of international HR issues has been gained
• Possess in-depth knowledge with the employment laws (and any HR requirements involved in international expansion) in Hong Kong and at least 1 additional APAC country
• Demonstrated skills in project management, ideally with previous experience of managing international or multi-country projects
• Experienced in using HRIS systems; Fluent in MS Office and related IT programs
• A good team player; strong interpersonal skills to build excellent team and client relationships
• Proactive and results driven; willing to learn new skills in the technical areas of advice,
• Excellent prioritization skills to ensure delivery of agreed tasks and management of multiple client assignments within required deadlines; willing to work across different time zones to get things done where necessary
• MUST possess very strong verbal and written communication skills in English; Fluent Cantonese and Mandarin will be a plus
